ACTA International and LuminUP have in the Gallery of via Panisperna, Small Italy − Fake, the project of photographer Stefano Giogli, who has enjoyed success at 43° Festival Internazionale di Fotografia Les Rencontres d’Arles 2012
Born from the project Reflexions Masterclass, was realised at the “Italy in Miniature” theme park, located near Rimini.
Begun in 1970, it contains numerous scale replicas of major Italian architectural as well as natural wonders of the Italian landscape.
By using and distorting the distance-proportion relationship among the elements in this place, calibrated through the use of 20 mm optics, the idea of the theme of “FALSE” is represented.
The subjects and elements that populate the squares and places offer us a portrayal of a surreal atmosphere in which time and space are suspended.
The doubt between TRUE-FALSE is manifested.
The exhibition is accompanied by a publication” Small Italy − Fake” di Stefano Giogli, critical text by Cinzia Busi Thompson.
